Dr. Minori Sasaki

WCHJapan Vice Representative Director Minori Sasaki, MD Dr. Sasaki is the vice director of Osaka Proctology Clinic, which was founded in 1912 and has a history of more than 110 years. She is one of the few female proctologists and medical advisors. She is one of the pioneers of female proctologists. After graduating from Osaka Medical College in 1994, she joined the Department of Dermatology at Osaka University. After working as a dermatologist at Osaka University Hospital, Otemae Hospital, and Tokyo Women’s Medical University Hospital for four years, she became a proctologist in 1998. In July of the same year, she opened Japan’s first “female proctology outpatient clinic” by a female doctor. As a unique proctologist with a background as a former dermatologist, she has given many lectures to doctors in the same profession. In the proctology industry where “hemorrhoids = surgery”, she has established “non-surgical hemorrhoid treatment” by correcting “anal constipation” as the root cause of hemorrhoids. Despite the fact that the treatment is not covered by health insurance, patients visit from all over Japan, including Hokkaido, Okinawa, and Tokyo, as well as from overseas. Her book, “If You Suffer from Pain, Itching, or Constipation, Stop Washing Your Backside,” became a bestseller, selling more than 30,000 copies. Various appearances on TV and other media programmes include “2 o’clock Doki!”, “Infotainment ABCDE-su”, “Good morning Asahi”, “Good morning, this is Personality Dojo Youzo”, “Exciting! Akashiya Television”, “The class I want to take most in the world” and many more.
