Dr. Akinori Fujisawa

Born 1966. Engaged in the student movement while studying at the Department of Nuclear Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University; dropped out of Kyoto University in 1989 and entered Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, graduating from the university in 1997. He founded the Honbetsu Cardiovascular Medicine Clinic in Honbetsu, Hokkaido, in 2012. In November 2021, he participated in the founding of the Hokkaido Volunteer Medicine Association; from 2022, he participated in the founding of the National Volunteer Medicine Association and has been its representative since its inception. The Volunteer Medicine Association, established in February 2022, is an organisation of more than 1,400 doctors and healthcare professionals from Hokkaido to Okinawa, which started with a review of measures against new coronavirus infection and has called for the suspension of the new coronavirus vaccination project.
