Global Health in an Age of Colonialism with Dr David Bell

Speaking at WCH General Assembly #60 on Monday, October 10, Dr David Bell gave an eye-opening presentation about the WHO’s history, focusing on pandemic preparedness and global health in an age of colonialism.

Who is Dr David Bell?

David is a clinical and public health physician with a PhD in population health and a background in internal medicine, modelling, and epidemiology of infectious disease. 

Born and educated in Australia, Dr. Bell has worked in global health and biotech for the past 20 years, managing collaborations across 6 continents. He is a board member of PANDA (Pandemics – Data & Analysis) and currently leads the socio-political projects on global public health. 

Previously, David was Director of the Global Health Technologies at Intellectual Ventures Global Good Fund in the USA, Programme Head for Malaria and Acute Febrile Disease at FIND in Geneva, and coordinating malaria diagnostics strategy with the WHO.
